Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is proclaimed "The World's Largest Music Festival."Summerfest in 2008 will feature over 700 bands performing on 11 different stages. The popular music festival offers constant entertainment. Admission promotions to the summer music festival are special ticket discounts.
Most of the Summerfest entertainment is included in the piece of admission. Headlining entertainment at Marcus Amphitheatre requires an additional ticket purchase. There are approximately 700 performances on 11 stages during the 11 day festival that are included in general admission.
"The World's Largest Music Festival" is always an entertainment bargain, with tickets at the gate ranging from $3 to $15. The admission promotions for the annual 11 day music festival make the price of admission even easier to bear.
Summerfest officials have announced the admission promotions for 2008. Save the money normally spent on tickets and purchase a snack, meal or a refreshing beverage at one of 45 food booths at Summerfest.
Following are discount promotions for Summerfest admission. These admission promotions are are posted on the official Summerfest website. Many of these promotional tickets require an arrival early in the afternoon to qualify for the free ticket or discount. Some of the promotions are good for the first 1,000 or 1,500 people to arrive at the Summerfest gates with the necessary donation or proof of purchase. Most of the promotions require a donation toward a charity or a proof of purchase from a sponsoring business.
Promotional ticket discounts are most beneficial for Adult weekday admission of $8. The weekday rate of $8 is effective from noon to 4 pm. After 4 pm the adult admission is $15. Admission for Seniors 60 and over is $3 at all times. Children 3-10 are $3 when with an adult. Children 2 and under are free.
Admission Promotions for Summerfest in Milwaukee
- Thursday, June 26: Johnson Controls Stomp Out Hunger Day with Fox 6 TV. Arrive between Noon and 3 pm with three non-perishable food items to donate to the Hunger Task Force. Donating patrons will receive on free admission ticket.
- Friday, June 27. Cedar Crest Day. The first1,500 patrons of the day with a proof of purchase of Cedar Crest Ice Cream or Cedar Crest Sherbet. Cedar Crest proofs of purchase may be one quart lid or two pint lids.
- Saturday, June 28. M & I Bank Classic Rock Rewards Day. The first 1,000 M&I Bank customers to show a valid M&I Rewards Check Card, Rewards, Credit Card of Rewards Equity Card will receive one free admission ticket.
- Sunday, June 29: Johnson Controls Goes Green at Summerfest Day. The first 1,500 patrons to present a receipt for a multi-pack Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb will receive one free admission ticket. Receipts must be dated between June 1 and June 29, 2008.
- Monday, June 30. Dean's Milk and Ice Cream, Sentry Foods and TODAY's TMY4 Children's Fest Day. All patrons that arrive between Noon and 3 pm will be admitted free.
- Tuesday, July 1. Northwestern Mutual Day. The first 1,500 patrons to donate a new indoor children's toy, art supplies of DVD movie with a $5 minimum value will receive one free admission ticket. Donations must be new, with original tags attached. Donations will be used throughout the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin System.
- Wednesday, July 2: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel PressCard Day. Patrons who present a valid Milwaukee Journal Sentinel PressCard will receive one free admission ticket. One admission ticket allowed per valid card.
- Thursday, July 3: Kimberly Clark Food Drive Day. Pick'n Save customers who purchase three participating Kimberly-Clark products (Kleenex, Cottonelle, Scott, Huggies Diapers, Pull-Ups) will receive a value coupon at checkout. The first 2,000 patrons to arrive at Summerfest who show the coupon and donate three non perishable Roundy's' brand items will receive one free admission ticket. Donations benefit The Salvation Army.
- Thursday, July 3: H.O.G. Day. Patrons who present a valid H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) card at the tent located at the northwest corner of Chicago Street and harbor Drive will receive one free admission ticket.
- Friday, July 4: Malt-O-Meal Day. The first 1,500 patrons to present a receipt from any Wisconsin grocer that specifies the purchase of any two Malt-O-Meal Bag Cereals will receive one free admission ticket. The original receipt must be dated between June 26 and July 4, 2008.
- Friday, July 4. Kemps and Tombstone Pizza Day. The first 1,000 patrons to present an original receipt from any Wisconsin grocer that proves the purchase of any three Kemps or Tombstone Pizza products will receive one free admission ticket. Receipt must be for one brand, not mixed between the two companies. Receipt must be the original, dated between June 26 and July 4, 2008.
- Saturday, July 5: CBS 58 Milwaukee MDA Day. The first 1,500 patrons contributing $5 or more to the Muscular Dystrophy Association will receive one free admission ticket..
- Sunday, July 6: We Energies Free Admission Day. On the final Sunday of Summerfest, all patrons arriving between Noon and 3 pm receive free admission complements of We Energies.
Discount Promotions
- Wednesday, July 2: Wisconsin Lottery Discount Day. Non winning Wisconsin Lottery Summerfest scratch ticket is worth $3 off th $8 weekday admission ticket.
- Wednesday, July 2: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Newspaper Coupon Day. Bring an original Summerfest coupon from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for $6 off the $8 admission.
- Monday, June 30 - Thursday, July 3: Time Warner Cable weekday discount. The bill stuffer in the Time Warner Summerfest is good for $3 off th e $8 weekday admission.
Summerfest features over 700 bands on 11 stages. There is music almost constantly. Festival goers can stroll from stage to stage to enjoy the sights and sounds of the entertainment. Food and drink are plentiful. Refreshments, beer and foods from of Milwaukee's favorite restaurants are located near the 11 different stages of musical entertainment.
