Music of every variety and genre permeats from Summerfest, the world's largest music festival, as it celebrates its fortieth year in 2007.
What started as a way to revitalize and unite the community, Summerfest nows attracts the hottest performers in every genre of music. New talent, local bands, and industry leaders all share stages along the beautiful Milwaukee lakefront.
Spend a day or two perusing forty-five various food and beverage vendors while you listen to music and shop four diverse marketplace areas. Summerfest offers ten permanent stages, including the 23,000 seat partially covered Marcus Amphitheater, which offers the best in county, pop, hip hop, and rock headliners in music.
In 2007, this Milwaukee summer cornerstone celebrates forty years of music. Be sure to view the Summerfest website where artists and patrons have recorded “Happy 40th” messages. This montage alone proves how immense and varied the festival has become. You’ll also find a full schedule of performers on the site, along with information on parking, accessibility, and daily entrance specials.
