Course Description:

The golf course at Lake Wisconsin Country Club is unique because it is situated along both Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River, with the Prairie du Sac Dam in between. The first nine holes are on the east side of Golf Road, away from the water. The course here is longer than the second nine and winds up into the treed hills. The par-4 first hole is considered the most challenging on the course at 415 yards long from the blues and an elevated green. Up on the tee box for number 4 you'll find an incredible view looking down over the course and across the bodies of water below. Number 6 will put you back in a narrow stretch between trees. If your ball goes out of bounds to the left, you can climb the stile into the sheep pasture to make a quick search for your ball. A large pond can be found between holes number 1, 8, and 9.

The second nine holes are sandwiched between the west side of Golf Road and the water. At number 12 you will find the signature hole, where an island tee box sits out in Lake Wisconsin. You hit across the water and toward the green which is nestled against a dike and just a few yards from the boat docks. Hole number 15 is the shortest on the course. If you are playing from the blue tees, you will have to climb to the top of the dike to shoot at the green. Up on the dike you will get another view across the lake as you are standing very near to the dam. Hole 16 begins near the dam and goes down the hill to the right to find the green. The green for hole number 16 is the only one close to the Wisconsin River. Because it is below the dam, the water level here can vary greatly. When the dam is open the river below is often filled with fishing boats.

Club House: Back at the club house you will find a restaurant in the lower half off the patio for golfers. Upstairs in the larger bar and dining room you can come visit for a Friday night fish fry or Sunday breakfast buffet. The area can also be reserved for wedding receptions and other special events.
