The children's play gallery in Delafield provides a safe place for indoor fun that is ideal for children ages zero to nine.

The children's play gallery is a fun place for children to explore in Delafield, Wisconsin. Set in a beautiful classic American-styled building in downtown Delafield, the play gallery consists of one large room that is divided into different play areas. While most of the activities are geared toward children aged two to nine, there is an area sectioned off for babies and toddlers. The management asks that there be one adult per four children at the play gallery.

Play Areas Inside the Gallery

The largest item in the play gallery is a wooden ship. Children may climb inside the ship, pretend to steer, swing on ropes hanging from the mast, and exit via its slide. Underneath the ship is an open space and portholes for kids to peek out of. Children also use their imaginations here to pretend they are pirates sailing on the ocean.

Nearby a large curtained stage and a box full of dress-up clothes allows kids to put on their own plays. They use their imaginations to perform stories that go along with the clothing they selected, whether that be a king and queen, chef, mail carrier, pirate, or more. They also can put on fashion shows, walking out on stage as a runway and modeling their attire.

A pint-sized kitchen and shopping area of sturdy wood construction allow children to shop for play food and then take it home and cook it up in the kitchen. Another area features a sand table with moldable sand. Plastic letter molds inside the sand table allow children to craft their names.

A club house with ramp and slide providee kids with their own speicalized fort. Nearby is a construction area carved out with studs where children can don hardhats and build things with blocks and Legos. An art area sits in the back near the family restroom and party room, and a quiet room with bean bags and books, puzzles, and a large dollhouse is found near the toddler area.
