Country Springs Water Park has a range of water activities that are perfect for grade-school age children.

The Country Springs Hotel in Waukesha has a moderate-sized indoor water park connected to the hotel that is available to guests and walk-ins. Wristbands cost between $15 to $25 depending on the date chosen. The Springs Water Park has a Wild West theme and nicely painted murals to complement the cowboy feel.

Water Park Activities at Country Springs

Almost all the activities at the water park are well-geared toward younger children. However, one of the areas best suited to older kids is the area by the main entrance. This is the deepest pool where basketball hoops and a floating turtle are found. A corner of this pool also features faux crates with a net suspended above that children can pull themselves across by stepping on the bobbling crates and hanging onto the netting. The water depth below the crates is four feet.

A large structure at the center is best for the smallest children. It has some small slides, a medium curving slide, climbing nets, fountains, and squirting features. One nice aspect to this area at Country Springs is that the walkways and stairs are not bombarded with falling water as they are at children's structures at most other water parks. A large tipping bucket is also part of the fun, but fair warning is given before the huge load is dumped by a bell ringing repeatedly as the bucket reaches its tipping point.

At the back of the water park are the slides. There is one body slide and two tube/raft slides. If you carry your own one or two-person tube up the stairs your wait will be shorter. If you would like the three-person raft to be hauled up by mechanical device for you, expect to wait a bit longer in the line. But regardless of the side you choose, the tube itself is fun but not scary, allowing very young children to go down the slides alone. The one body slide is also fun but easy enough for small kids. For those who go down the slide with a one or two-person tube, the slide empties into the lazy river. There is also another entrance/exit to the lazy river, which is a short but winding and very slow, relaxing journey.

The last water area is an indoor/outdoor hot tub. Although it is not too hot, state law forbids children aged five and under from entering this pool.

Other Amenities at Country Springs Water Park

One nice feature to the park is that adults can sign out a life vest for smaller children. Another interesting highlight is that as night comes on at the water park, the lights above glow blue and lights in the faux trees glow green, providing a unique atmosphere. The Wet Your Whistle Saloon and Square Meal Snack Bar provide refreshments or a simple meal of pizza, burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, and the like. An arcade is found upstairs.

Overall, the water park at Country Springs Hotel is a great alternative to the Dells for water park fun. Grade-school age children will get the most out of this moderate-sized park just off Interstate 94 in Waukesha.
