Bayfield is a small town on the shores of Lake Superior in far Northern Wisconsin. The apple harvest is celebrated during the first weekend of October.

Apples are cause for celebration in Bayfield, Wisconsin during the first weekend of October. The 47th annual Bayfield Apple Festival is scheduled for October 3-5, 2008. Bayfield's celebration has been listed among the "Top Ten Autumn Festivals in North America" by the Society of American Travel Writers. Fresh apples take center stage in a celebration of the healthy, fresh fruit that is a staple of the All- American diet.

Visit Bayfield for a refreshing weekend getaway with beautiful scenery, fresh air and wholesome entertainment fun for the entire family. Bayfield is a scenic destination, with brilliant fall colors and views of Lake Superior.

Bayfield is a scenic Northern Wisconsin town, called the "Gateway to the Apostle Islands." The Apostle Islands are a group of more than 20 wooded islands in lake Superior. While in Bayfield, visit the lighthouses and lakeshore wilderness areas. There will be ongoing boat cruises to the Apostle Islands as part of the Bayfield Apple Festival.

Bayfield Apple Festival is a small town autumn event in Northern Wisconsin which drew 40,000 visitors in 2007. Bayfield is on the shores of Lake Superior, of the Great Lakes. Visitors travel to the tiny town, enjoying the scenic fall colors of Wisconsin along the way. Over 46 apple orchards and food booths sell Bayfield's apples, apple desserts and other delicacies.
